Service
9.
e machine should be disconnected from the power
supply during cleaning and maintenance. Service
operations should never take place in the zone area.
10. Because the DC 1800/2800 EX is used in an explo-
sive environment, the functionality of the machine
must be inspected by the manufacturer or a trained
person at least once a year (e.g. inspection of the lter
for damage, inspection of the air tightness of the
dust-extraction machine and function of the control
unit, and inspection of the electrical components,
seals and potential equalisation cables for damage.
Only use original spare parts.
11. To empty the dust collection container, the two fas-
teners must be released with care, one after the other,
to prevent dust from being stirred up unnecessarily.
After lowering the container, the extractor should be
switched on again in order for any suspended parti-
cles to be sucked into the lter cyclone.
er can now be removed from the machine. Carefully
remove the full sack from the edge of the bin, and
immediately seal it tight. Fit a new plastic sack, and
carefully pass the opening back over the edge of the
bin. Make sure that no folds occur, and that the sack
is not damaged.
en carefully put the container
back in place, attach the two fasteners, switch o the
machine, and re-attach the container to the machine
and check that there are no leaks.
Filter replacement
e ne lter should be replaced at least once a year.
HEPA lters should be replaced after every 300 hours of
operation. Wear a dust mask when replacing the lter.
Only use an original lter.
Release and lift o the lid. To prevent the escape of dust,
place a plastic sack over the cyclone, and remove the lter
cartridge. Clean the lter plate.
- CAUTION! Do not reuse the main lter once it has
been removed from the machine.
e HEPA lter is removed by withdrawing the cartridge
after opening the lid.
e new lter cartridge is placed in
the ne lter and is sealed by carefully attaching the lid.
Caution
e manufacturer or a trained person must carry out an
inspection at least annually, e.g. damage to the lter, air-
tightness of the dust-extraction machine and the function
of the control unit.
Overload protection
e machine is equipped with a guard of overheating. If
the motor unit due to excessive restriction or overload is
over 55
C to turn the engine o . In these situations it is
o
important to investigate the cause of overheating before
trying to restart. Switch o and unplug the power cord,
