7.3. Installation of the guard
GB
trac™ guardrail
The installer should proceed as follows:
Step 1:
Clear the installation area on which the guard
trac™ or guard trac™ plus guardrail is to be
installed.
Step 2:
Clean the cleared area using appropriate
resources. After cleaning, the surface must be
free of all dirt such as dust, oil, grease, mould,
algae, moss, leaves or other.
7.3.1. Barrier (fg.18)
1.
Set up the fully equipped double bracket:
Each support is equipped with an anti-slip
pad (rep.1 fg.7) at the end to avoid any risk
of deterioration of the roof sealant.
However, it is recommended that the
installer place it gently on the ground and
not to step on it, which could lead to the
deterioration of the roof sealant. Space
the supports L1= 3076 mm (fg.18.1)
apart at a minimum distance of 50mm
from the parapet.
2.
Place a latch on each double bracket
(rep.1, fg.18.2)
3.
Insert the barrier into the holes in the
double bracket (fg.18.3)
DANGER: the gearwheel must be
enmeshed with the latch and be in
contact with the upper surface of the
latch and the upper surface of the double
bracket tubes (see detail B of Fig. 18.3).
4.
Take a first counterweight with two hands
at the clearances and position it on the
first double bracket (rep. 2, fig. 18.4),
taking care to place the double bracket
arm in the counterweight groove provided
to receive it.
IMPORTANT:
concrete counterweight on the bracket,
the installer must ensure that the
installation surface Sm of the counterweight
block (fig. 6) does not present any sharp edges,
deterioration or foreign body to deteriorate the
roof sealant of the roof.

same for the adjacent barriers.
NOTE: The assembly of the
barriers adapts to the shape of
the area to be cordoned off
thanks to the gearwheel system of the barriers
and the latch. The permissible angles are shown
in the table below (fig. 21):
