EN: Installation Sheet
Description
The 2010-1-NB Network Board allows compatible fire and
repeater control panels to be controlled in a peer-to-peer fire
network.
It provides redundancy in communications with two isolated
RS-485 channels. Each channel is connected point-to-point to
the network board in the next node in the fire network. It
provides maximum signal integrity and communications quality
at distances up to 1.2 km.
If an open or short circuit occurs in the network wiring, the
system indicates a fault (at the control panel) and continues to
operate.
Installation
WARNING: To avoid personal injury or death from
electrocution, disconnect the control panel from the mains
power supply and batteries before installing this product.
To install the expansion board:
1.
Unplug the power supply unit, the batteries, and any other
device cables connected to the control panel PCB.
2.
Remove the holding screw and unclip and remove the
control panel PCB, as shown in Figure 1 (for two- and
four-zone control panels, unclip the PCB at each corner by
pressing carefully on the holding studs).
3.
Install the network board connector J1 onto the control
panel PCB connectors (located on the back of the PCB).
Use connector J3 for the two- and four-zone control panel
(see Figure 2), and connector J4 for the eight-zone control
panel and the evacuation panel (see Figure 3). Push firmly
to ensure a good connection.
4.
Reinstall the PCB back into the control panel.
5.
Connect data cables as shown in Figure 4. A connects to
A and B connects to B (channel 2 connects to channel 1).
Channels are marked on the rear of the network board.
6.
Restore power and add the device to the control panel
configuration (see the control panel installation manual for
further details).
Network configuration
The network board allows for ring or bus configurations.
Ring configuration
This network configuration is recommended as it provides for
redundancy in the transmission path.
For ring configuration (class A), use both channels to connect
all network nodes.
2 / 20
Bus configuration
Caution:
Use this network configuration only in cases where
the detection zones and mandatory EN 54-2 output functions
are not remote between panels.
This network configuration is not recommended. It does not
provide for redundancy in the transmission path and creates a
fire network with high fault sensitivity.
Maintenance
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry.

Descripció
La targeta de xarxa 2010-1-NB permet controlar panells de
control d'incendi i de repetidor compatibles en una xarxa
d'incendi punt a punt.
Proporciona redundància en comunicacions amb dos canals
RS-485 aïllats. Cada canal es connecta punt a punt a la
targeta de xarxa en el node següent de la xarxa d'incendi.
