• Remove the electrodes from the tube.
• Cover the hot clamp in the flameproof sleeve before storing it.
Observation:
You can use the Cobraz with the case closed. To do so, ensure that the electric cables are not in
the case. If they are, they may heat up and damage the case.

Removing a connection

• Choose electrodes suited for the work to be undertaken.
• Fix the electrodes on to the supports.
• Connect the brazer to a 200 V socket which has been correctly earthed.
• Turn the machine on by throwing switch (3).
• Position the electrodes on the connection and leave to heat.
• Using a clamp: pull on the tube to be removed.
• Remove the electrodes from the tube.
• Allow the clamp to cool before storing it.
• Cover the hot clamp in the flameproof sleeve before storing it.

Brazing on touch

Definition:
Prismatic electrodes may be used for on touch work: if there is little space around the tube, i.e. if
it is impossible to position the electrodes either side of the tube. The efficiency will be lower than
with tube tightening work.
Use:
• Insert the prismatic electrodes on the supports and screw the supports on the arms.
• Connect the brazer to a 200 V socket which has been correctly earthed.
• Turn the machine on by throwing switch (3).
• Apply the flux to the tube for brazing.
• Fit the pipe fitting inside.
• Position the electrodes on the tube socket without opening the clamp.
• The copper tube is hot when the flux changes colour.
• Apply the brazing at the joint.
• Remove the electrodes from the tube.
• Cover the hot clamp in the flameproof sleeve before storing it.
Observation:

Cooling of the clamp:

As desired from these methods:
• Allow the clamp to cool for a few minutes.
• Send a jet of compressed air over the clamps.
• Immerse the clamp (metal part) in water.
