Dialing the Number
1 Press the Dial softkey on the Test Call screen, and
the modem calls the Dial Number, and presents
the Dialing Number screen.
The Dialing Number screen then displays the
progress of the call in the <status> field, showing
you one (or more) of the following messages:
DIALING - The LXM-DTC Satellite's modem is
attempting to dial the Dial Number.
NO DIAL TONE - This message appears if a dial
tone is not detected within 2 seconds.
CONNECT xxxx - The call has been answered
by another modem. The modems can
"connect" but no data will be exchanged.
NOTE: No modem connection is expected or
required to occur. The purpose of the Test
Call feature is to confirm communications.
You may choose to enter your cellular phone
or another local number to confirm a
working communications connection to the
LXM-DTC Satellite.
2 Press Quit to hang up the line and return to the
Test Call screen.
