3.2 IGNITION OF HEATER H-02/22 AND H-03/80
To light up the hearth, first lay a base of paper on the grate at the bottom. Then place a
layer of thin branches or pieces of wood. Before lighting the paper, it is advisable to
place some paper in the cast iron deflector, accessing through the front door, and light
it; this will heat up the chimney, forcing our any cold air inside (especially on cold winter
days), favouring the draw and avoiding any smoke from leaking into the room.
Now you may light the paper and wooden base; leave the door slightly open for about
20 minutes. Once the flame has stabilised, close the door and the device may be
regulated by means of the valve on the ash pan.
ATTENTION!!
When the hearth is working, the metal parts may reach high
temperatures. Protect your hands with fireproof gloves if you have to touch it.
3.3 REGULATING DRAW
In Models H-02/22 use the ash pan (turning the handle)
to regulate intensity.
IMPORTANT!! The hearth must be closed at all times
when lit to avoid smoke from leaking out. Only open to
introduce fuel.
3.4. H-03/80 HEATER FLOW ADJUSTMENT
The combustion air enters through the primary and secondary air valves.
To make ignition easier and to prevent the formation of tar, we recommend opening the
primary air valve fully, which will allow plenty of air to flow through, facilitating
combustion.
It should remain in this state during the early phase of ignition in order to heat the
fireplace and flue quickly, thus avoiding the formation of condensation and tar
(creosote).
A full load is essential during ignition. Subsequent loads will depend on your heating
needs.
Once the fireplace has warmed up, you will need to adjust the combustion air
intake. We recommend you close the primary air intake valve and regulate combustion
with the secondary air valve, which will lead to superior glass cleaning.
