Your DYnafit touring BinDing
Thank you for deciding on a DYNAFIT touring binding. Your DYNAFIT touring bin-
ding is a reliably branded product with high operating comfort. The outstanding
DYNAFIT functional principles which have been proven in over decades of use
were also retained and further improved upon in this modern binding. DYNAFIT
touring bindings are at this point in time the lightest touring bindings in the world
in their segment.
The new DYNAFIT BEAST 14 bindings comply with current technical requirements.
DYNAFIT only guarantees perfect boot-binding function when used with DYNAFIT
CERTIFIED INSERTS, carried by the following boot manufacturers:
For inserts from other manufacturers, DYNAFIT cannot guarantee correct functio-
ning and quality.
Certain models of touring boots, particularly lightweight boots with a shortened
heel fixation point, should not be used with the Beast binding. Your DYNAFIT dealer
will gladly give you more information.
For your own safety we ask you to read and respect the following warnings and

• When downhill skiing please ensure that the locking lever is no longer in climbing
position as lateral release will not be possible, heightening risk of accident or inju-
ry. Please refer to the provided sticker, which should remain on the ski at all times.
• Be careful not to put your fingers under the locking lever of the toe when using
the locking mechanism.
• Make sure the brake is not locked during binding storage

Please be aware that skiing, like many other sporting activities, can be dangerous
and physical injuries of all kinds can occur.
The DYNAFIT touring binding is a part of the function unit consisting of ski boot,
binding and ski. It provides the greatest possible safety based on current standards.
However, it is impossible to predict every situation in which all bindings will release
and whether they will do so in all circumstances.
It is not guaranteed that a skier will not be injured by a release or non-release of
the binding. The ski binding minimizes only the risk of injury to the legs but not
to the knees. The binding has no influence on any other injuries that might occur
during skiing.
• Because adjustments depend not only on the type of binding and boot but also
on the type of skier, they should be exclusively carried out by an authorized dea-
ler. Binding settings must be controlled by a suitable test device. Installation
and setting by an unauthorised person will always be at the risk of the skier and
will invalidate the warranty and may result in increased risk of injury to the skier.
• In order to maintain the safety functions, please avoid unauthorised adaptation
of your ski binding, and have adjustments or adaptions completed by a specia-
list dealer. Incorrect setting, adaptation or maintenance may increase the risk
of injury.
• Prior to every use, check the function of your ski binding and inspect it for de-
fective or missing parts. If required, have your equipment repaired by a specia-
list dealer. You risk exposing yourself to injury if you continue using an impaired
skiing binding.
• As a skier you must be aware of the risks of this type of sport. For this reason,
adapt your skiing style and the choice of downhill skiing to your skills and ca-
pabilities.
• Select your tours carefully. Do not overestimate your capabilities.
• Observe the warnings and instructions in the skiing area. Strictly adhere to
weather and avalanche warnings.
• Do not ski if you are not physically fit, if you feel tired or if you are under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
• The release level of your ski binding may change as a result of dirt, extended
or incorrect storage or non-use. The release value setting must therefore be
checked by a specialist dealer especially at the start of the skiing season using
a suitable test device.
• Ski boot braces that are excessively worn can impair the release of your ski
binding. For this reason, have your equipment checked regularly or additionally,
when required, by a specialist dealer.
• Only use the ski binding either with a DYNAFIT ski brake or a DYNAFIT leash.
Failure to observe this can result in the ski sliding down without braking after
release, potentially endangering others.
• Always use the binding together with a deep snow leash when skiing in deep
snow so that the released ski can be relocated.

• Always use a ski binding cover when transporting skis exposed on a car roof to
prevent road salt, dirt and other contamination impairing the proper function
of your ski binding.
• Any unintended use of the ski binding such as use on monoski, changes to ski
binding components will increase the risk of faulty release or release failure.
• Employing accessories and/or intermediate elements may jeopardise the opera-
tion of the ski binding. For this reason, use only original accessories. Installation
must be performed by a specialist dealer.
• If you have purchased a DYNAFIT binding on the Internet, a specialist dealer
must check and adapt the ski binding to your personal data. DYNAFIT will not
be liable if any settings have been made by an unauthorised person.
• Please keep these user instructions in a safe place.
