In other words, the defrost calculator setting measures the time that the machine is running at
low temperature.
In machines with two compressors, if one of the circuits meets the defrost condition,
defrosting will also take place in the other circuit.
DEFROST SEQUENCE:
The regulator can check the defrost effect against the outside temperature. If the outside
temperature is higher than "End defrost temperature", the regulator will stop the defrost
function. If defrost time is longer than "Maximum defrost time", the regulator will also force
the defrost function to stop. The defrost process explained above will only work when the
machine is heating in heat mode.
Once the conditions for stopping the defrost cycle are met in circuit 1, compressor 1 will wait
for compressor 2 to reach these conditions. As soon as compressor 2 stops, the heat mode will
start again in both circuits (there is a delay time between both).
Observation:
If the evaporator 1 probe fails, the reading from the evaporator 2 temperature probe will be
used.
If both evaporator temperature probes fail: The system will check the outside air temperature;
if outside air temperature is <F35 and machine running time > Start defrost time, the machine
will start defrosting. The defrost process will stop when defrost time > maximum defrost time.
