Install the Sink (cont.)
NOTE: If the tiled countertop transitions into a laminated
countertop, the laminated countertop must be installed after the tile
has been installed to ensure a flush transition between the two
surfaces.
Tile and grout to allow an acceptable space between the tile and
sink.
To absorb the vibration from a garbage disposal, apply sealant
between the sink and tile directly adjacent to the sink rim. This
will prevent the grout from cracking around the sink.
Allow the sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before
proceeding.

3. Complete the Installation

If installing a garbage disposal, install it at this time according to
the manufacturer's instructions.
If not already installed, install the drain assembly at this time
according to the instructions packed with the drain.
Connect and tighten the trap to the drain assembly, and complete
the water supply connections to the faucet according to the
instructions packed with the faucet.
Run water into the sink and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.
Cleaning Your Cast Iron Sink
For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your
Kohler product:
• Test First - Always test your cleaning solution on an
inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.
• Do Not Let Cleaners Soak - Do not allow cleaners to sit or soak
on the product.
• Avoid Abrasive Materials - Use a soft, dampened sponge or
cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring
pad to clean surfaces.
• Wipe Clean - Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with
water immediately after applying cleaners. Rinse and dry any
overspray that lands on nearby surfaces.
Cleaning Instructions
• Rinse thoroughly and use a soft cloth to wipe the product after
each use.
