To install the clamping unit in the linear
module: Carry out the following steps:
1. Exhaust the HMP−... linear module and
remove if required.
2. Remove the cover caps (A) on the HMP−...
and the housing cover (B).
3. Move the guide tube of the HMP−... by
hand into the extended end position.
4. Unscrew the screws (C) in the front cover
and push the front cover approx. 10 mm in
the direction of the front plate in order to
insert the clamping unit.
5. Press the manual override and at the
same time insert the clamping rod into the
pre−mounted clamping unit until about
5 mm of the thread project out.
The following points must be observed
here:
Compressed air connection 6 must lie
on the opposite side of fastening
flange (X).
When pressing the manual override,
hold your forefinger against the oppo
site side as shown in Bild 7.
6. Insert trunnion (Z) of the clamping unit
into the bore on the front cover of the
HMP base profile and screw in the fasten
ing screw from outside through the front
cover into threaded bore (D) of the clamp
ing unit. The tightening torque is 5.9 Nm.
