Satin Stitching
Satin stitching is a series of closely spaced
zig-zag
stitches that form a smooth satin-Iike
surface.
It
is useful for
both util
ity
and
decorat
ive
work. Always make a test sample
first

Adjusting Stitche Length
1.
Turn seleetor dial to 1 and run the machine
ar a
stow
speed.
2. Wh
ile
running
machine.
gradually turn dial
toward O until stitches are closely spaced
and form a smooth satin stltch,
Adjusting Thread Tension
Sat
in
st
itching
requires
less tension than
straight
stitching
or open zig-zag stitching.
Furthermore. the wider the
stit
ch. the lighter
the tension on t he thread must 00.
Notice the stitching on your sample.
If
the
stitching appears to be too tight. or the fabric is
pucker
inq,
lower the thread tension by turning
the d
ial
to a lower number.
