Become ac:quainted with your treadle. Flrst,
hold hand wheel

Placa both feet on treadleC. Turn hand wheel
over toward Vou and allow your feet to move
freely and lightly. following the motion of the
treadle. Practice this motion until vou are abte,
with your feet alone, to re-start the manchine
with the hand wheel turning toward vou and
maintain a steady speed.
When vou have become accustomed to the
treadle motion, tighten the hand wheel knob by
turning it away from vou. Place a piece of
material under the presser foot and lower the
presser foot Iifter. Now operale the machine
lwithout thread) until VOu become accustomecl
to guiding the material.
