Ezhongxian
Middle line of the forehead
Location:
Begin at Point Dumai 24
1 cun along the course of the main pathway
Note:
The point Dumai 24 is found 0,5 cun behind the front hair line.
Epangxian I
First lateral line of the forehead
Location:
Begin at the point Bladder 3 (Meichong)
1 cun in the direction of the pathway
Note:
The point Bladder 3 lies above the inner Canthus, 0,5 cun behind the front hair line.
Epangxian II
Second lateral line of the forehead
Location:
Begin at the point Gall bladder 15 (Toulinqi)
1 cun in the direction of the pathway
Note:
The point Gall bladder 15 lies above the Pupil, 0,5 cun behind the front hair line.
Epangxian III
Third lateral line of the forehead
Location:
Starting at the middle point of the connecting line from the point Gall bladder 13 (Benshen)
to the point Stomach 8 (Touwei), 1 cun directly downwards.
Note:
The point Gall bladder 13 is found 0.5 cun behind the front hair line und 3 cun lateral of the
point Dumai 24. The point Stomach 8 is found directly at the vertex of the lateral corner of the
front hair line, 4,5 cun lateral of the point Dumai 24.
Lines of the vertex (Calvaria):
Dingzhongxian
Middle line of the vertex
Location:
Begin at the point Dumai 20 (Baihui) on the course of its pathway to the point Dumai 21
(Qianding).
Note:
The point Dumai 20 is found 5 cun on the face side of the front hair line. The point Dumai 21 is
found 1,5 cun in front of the point Dumai 20.
Dingpangxian I
First lateral line of the vertex
Location:
Begin at the point Bladder 6 (Chengguang) on the course of its pathway to the point
Bladder 7 (Tongtian).
Note:
The point Bladder 6 is found 2,5 cun behind the front hair line and 1,5 cun to the side of the
path of the Dumai.
Dingpangxian II
Second lateral line of the vertex
Location:
Begin at the point Gall bladder 17 (Zhengying) on the course of its pathway to the point Gall
bladder 18 (Chengling).
Note:
The point Gall bladder 17 is found 2,5 cun behind the front hair line, 3 cun lateral to the path of
the Dumai. The point Gall bladder 18 lies 4,5 cun behind the front hair line.

Temporal lines:
Dingnie Qianxiexian
Anterior slanted coursing vertex tempus line
Location:
Begin at the point Qianshencong (exceptional point) slanting downward course directly to the
point Gall bladder 6 (Xuanli).
Note:
The exceptional point Qianshencong is found 1 cun in front of the point Dumai 20. The point
Gall bladder 6 is found in the bottom third of the connecting line between the points Gall
bladder 4 (Hanyan) and Gall bladder 7 (Qubin).
Dingnie Houxiexian
Posterior slanted coursing vertex tempus line
Location:
Begin at the point Dumai 20 (Baihui) with a slanting downward course, directly to the point
Gall bladder 7 (Qubin)
Note:
The point Gall bladder 7 is found a thumb`s width in front of the point of triple calefactor 20.
Nieqianxian
Anterior temporal line
Location:
Begin at the point Gall bladder 4 (Hanyan) with a downward slanting course, directly to the
point Gall bladder 6 (Xuanli).
Note:
The point Gall bladder 4 lies on the hair line, 1 cun perpendicular to the point Stomach 8
(Touwei). The point Gall bladder 6 lies in the bottom third of the connecting line between the
point Gall bladder 4 and Gall bladder 7.
Niehouxian
Posterior temporal line
Location:
Above the top of the ear, starting at the point Gall bladder 8 (Shuaigu), slanting downward,
coursing directly to the point Gall bladder 7 (Qubin).
Note:
The point Gall bladder 8 is found 1,5 cun above the top of the ear. The point Gall bladder 7 is
found a thumb`s width in front of the triple calefactor 20.
Occipital Lines:
Zhenshang Zhengzhongxian
Superior middle occipital line
Location:
On the Dumai, starting at the point Dumai 18 (Qiangyian) in the direction of the path going
towards the point Dumai 17 (Naohu).
Note:
The point Dumai 18 lies 3 cun posterior to the point Dumai 20. The point Dumai 17 lies 4,5 cun
posterior to the point Dumai 20.
Zhenshang Pangxian
Superior lateral occipital line
Location:
The superior lateral occipital line runs 0,5 cun on the side of and parallel to the superior middle
occipital line.
Note:
The starting point lies 0,5 cun to the side of point Dumai 18. The end point lies 0,5 cun to the
side of the point Dumai 17.
Zhenxia Pangxian
Lower lateral occipital line
Location:
Begin at point Bladder 9 (Yuzhen) going towards point Bladder 10 (Tianzhu), following the
course along the pathway.
Note:
The point Bladder 9 is found 1,3 cun lateral to the point Dumai 17, perpendicular and superior
to the point Bladder 10. The point Bladder 10 is found 1,3 cun lateral to the point Dumai 15 and
0,5 cun on the scalp side the posterior hair line.
