WARNING
WARNING
When replacing non-Laing motors, use the additionally included flat seal. The
groove for holding the flat seal in non-Laing pump housings has an additional
ridge that can cause leakage when used with an O-ring seal.

- Disconnect pump from the mains.
- Close the connection lines.
- Loosen the union nut and remove the motor (Residual water
may leak out of the rotor cavity. Prevent the electrical con-
nection to the pump from getting wet.).
- Carefully pull the rotor/impeller unit upward by hand.
The rotor is held onto the bearing ball with a "pushbutton ef-
fect" on S1 versions. Do not wedge it out from one side using
a screwdriver since this may destroy the bearing.
- Dispose of any foreign objects and remove impurities/de-
posits with appropriate agents (e.g. use citric acid to remove
lime). Reinsert the rotor/impeller unit.
- The bearing is worn if the rotor/impeller unit cannot move
freely or if wear marks are visible. Replace the rotor, pump
motor, or the entire pump.
