6. Safety instructions

In case of damage to this product due to non-compliance with these
operating instructions shall make any guarantee claim and the war-
ranty null and void. We shall not be held liable for consequential dam-
ages due to non-compliance with the aforementioned instructions.
The same applies to property damage and personal injury caused by
improper handling and non-compliance with the safety instructions.
Improper and unprofessional handling of voltage is dangerous to you
and other persons. There is a risk of fatal injuries due to electric shock!
The lamp may only be operated if attached to a suitable hanger
assembly. The lamp must be secured to prevent it from dropping to
the floor.
The lamp must not be altered, disassembled or changed in any way.
Not only will this cause the guarantee and approval (CE) to cease, any
changes to the lamp may lead to safety problems. Moreover, there is a
risk of fatal injury due to electric shock!
• During operation, the housing of the lamp heats up. Operate the lamp only in
places which ensure adequate ventilation. At least 20 cm clearance to the next
surface must be ensured above and below the lamp.
• Do not cover the lamp during operation, the ventilation holes above and below the
lamp must remain unobstructed. Do not place any objects on the lamp.
• Keep the lamp away from children. It is not a toy!
• The lamp must only be operated at the permissible mains voltage. Compliance
with permissible voltage specified in the "Technical data" chapter of this Operating
Manual is mandatory.
• The lamp is designed compliant with protection class I. The protective conductor
must be connected! Non-compliance with this regulation may cause a life-threaten-
ing electric shock if a fault occurs!
• The lamp must never be installed or operated in rooms or ambient conditions in
which explosive or combustible gases, vapours or dust accumulations are or could
be present! Risk of fire and explosion!
