Anleitung DSP 226

5. Safety regulations

Take suitable precautions to protect yourself and
your environment from potential hazards.
Never put the suck-and-blast gun to any use other
than that intended.
Keep pneumatic tools safe from children.
Always concentrate while you work. Do not work if
you are tired.
Use only a quick-release coupling to connect up
the air supply.
It is imperative to use a pressure reducer to set
the working pressure.
Never use oxygen or combustible gases as an
energy source.
Always disconnect the tool from the air supply
before carrying out any repairs or maintenance
work.
Use only original replacement parts.
Wear the necessary protective clothing,
particularly goggles and safety gloves, when
working with the suck-and-blast gun.

6. Putting into operation

Screw the supplied plug-in nipple into the gun
handle.
Fit the one end of the suction hose to the socket on
the gun handle and the other end to the socket of the
suction tube. Make sure that there is a gap of
approx. 5 mm between the end of the hose and the
suction tube. It will then be impossible for a vacuum
to form during suction. After connecting the gun to
the air supply, insert the suction tube in the blasting
medium but only to the extent that the outer tube
does not enter the medium. If the outer tube is also
inserted in the blasting medium, a vacuum could
form and prevent blasting.
Caution!
Always disconnect the gun from the air supply
before fitting new nozzles.

The nozzle should be changed after prolonged
use. Clogging or extreme one-sided blasting are
signs that it is time to replace the nozzle.
To change the nozzle, undo the Allen screws
which hold the nozzle in place. You can then pull
out the nozzle.
Be careful when inserting the new nozzle or the
serrated lock washer will fall out and the nozzle
will no longer fit correctly. Refit and tighten the
Allen screws.
To replace the inner nozzle, screw open the
nozzle holder and take out the inner nozzle. Then
slip the small O-ring and the large sealing ring on
the replacement nozzle, insert the nozzle in the
nozzle holder, and reassemble all the parts.
