6.2.2 Mounting the ABIDOT on the welding torch

NOTICE
• The minimum stick-out adjustment is 10 mm and can be adjusted in steps
of 1 mm up to a maximum dimension of 25 mm or 30 mm.
• When tightening the hexagon socket screw (4), make sure that the
locking of the clamping piece (5) is correctly aligned to the
locking of the torch adaptor (6).
4 Retighten the hexagon socket screw (4).
1 Dismount the gas nozzle from the welding torch and shorten the welding
wire end to approx. 5 mm.

NOTICE
• Depending on the welding torch version, you must also remove the
insulator or the gas diffuser.
• Remove any coarse dirt from the welding torch and tip adaptor.
• Do not use tools (pliers, etc.) to tighten the ABIDOT. An excessive
tightening destroys the ABIDOT.
2 Mount the ABIDOT on the torch and tighten it by hand.
