1. General description of the electric pumps and
characteristics of use
The sturdy "DRENO POMPE" submersible electric pumps of the V2 - V4 - A2 - A4 - G - H series are widely
used both in craft and industrial applications, for the channelling of waste untreated water, revived slush,
putrid slush, water mixes, light and heavy sewage, sewage water. ATEX marked pumps can be used in areas
with risk of explosion, in accordance with the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive.
Marking in compliance with Group II, category 2, gas protection (G), temperature class = T4
Pumped liquid temperature range: 0 ÷ 40°C
Maximum immersion depth: 20 m
Minimum liquid level: see chapters 6 and 7
PH of the pumped liquid: 6 ÷ 10 pH
Protection degree: IP 68
Liquid density: not exceeding < 1.1 kg/m
diameter as allowed by the passage through the impeller. See section 5 Technical specifications.
The maximum noise level of our pumps is ≤ 70 dB (A).
DRENO POMPE ONLY GUARANTEES THE OPERATIONS OF ITS ATEX PUMPS, IF
THE CONDITIONS OF USE COMPLY WITH THE INDICATIONS OF THE FOLLOWING
ATEX marked electric pumps may be used in environments at risk of explosion and fire, in accordance with
the ATEX specifications, indicated in the identification plate.
They have passed the measurements and the tests required by the Directives. These assessments are descri-
bed and certified in reports no. EUM1 11 ATEX 0528 X, available at our Internet website: www.drenopompe.it
2. ATEX pumps, design and management methods
Protection systems and equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmosphere are designed by
DRENO POMPE SRL following the principle of built-in explosion protection. Therefore, DRENO POMPE
SRL takes all the necessary measures, to avoid that protection systems or equipment produce or release
themselves explosive atmospheres, and to prevent ignition inside an explosive atmosphere, taking into ac-
count the nature of each potential ignition source, both electric and non electric. With this in mid, the most
advanced management methods are ensured during the design stage. These include the implementation of
internal procedures PQ.D.03, IQ.A.01, the use of CAD systems, and advanced simulators, as well as compli-
ance with all the current state of the art regulations, like for example UNI EN 1127-1 IEC EN 60079-0, IEC EN
60079-1, IEC UNI 60079-14, EN 13463-1, EN 13463-5, and the ATEX Guidelines, 4th edition of June 2013.
