Operating the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge
Risk of splinters!
If the chain saw chain comes into contact with the safety wedge
or the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge, parts of the
safety wedge, the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge or
the chain may break off and cause severe injuries.

Always wear the eye protection during the felling process.
›
Create the offset felling cut.
›
Prevent the chain saw chain coming into contact with the safety
wedge or Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge.
›
Use aluminium or plastic safety wedges.
Risk of injury due to falling tree!
If the hinge is cut through, the tree can fall in the direction of the
felling cut and cause serious injury.

Make sure that the dimensions of the hinge are correct.
›
Make sure that the hinge is not sawn through.
The offset felling cut is at least 3 cm higher than the bottom

felling notch cut (see "Cutting the felling notch" on page
45).

Create the offset felling cut.
