Assembly

The OptimAir 3000 range must be assembled before use.
Attention!
Do not fit the breathing tube until calibration has taken place. The air
must be able to flow freely out of the apparatus during calibration.
Fitting the battery pack
(1) Align the battery so that the formed section (curved)
and the contacts are aligned to each other.
(2) Place the battery in the apparatus and push in until
it clicks in place.
The EX battery only fits the OptimAir 3000EX
whilst the standard and long life batteries only
fit the 3000 and 3000A units.
Fitting the filter and caps
(3) Select the appropriate filter cap for the filters
required:
 deep filter caps for combination filters
 shallow filter caps for particle or gas filters
(4) Insert the filters in the apparatus and screw the cap
down to clamp the filters in place tightening by hand
only.
EX filter caps are identifiable by the sign ex
and colour.
Fitting the body belt
(5) Feed the strap of the body belt into the apparatus.
 When using the comfort body belt, also use the
middle strap on the body belt.
