Before You Begin (cont.)
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Only apply 100% silicone sealant to the
areas where instructed to do so. Do not apply silicone sealant to any other areas.
The inappropriate application of silicone sealant may trap moisture and could
result in mold, leakage, or mildew. We recommend using colored 100% silicone
sealant to match the color of the product. Use of latex based or other caulks is not
recommended. If a shower door will be added, you will be instructed to apply
silicone sealant where the front edges of the wall surrounds will meet the receptor.
This will prevent water from passing through the shower door extrusion to the
back side of the wall. Follow the shower door and silicone sealant manufacturer's
instructions.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. To avoid rust marks on your product,
ensure the roofing nails or non-tapered flathead screws are galvanized or plated. If
using galvanized or plated non-tapered flathead screws, do not overtighten the
screws. Excessive tightening can damage the wall flange. Consult local building
codes to determine if the screws or nails must be galvanized or plated.
IMPORTANT! The receptor cannot be installed alone without the wall surrounds.
Read all instructions before you begin.
Observe all applicable plumbing and building codes.
This product must be installed in an alcove.
Do not remove the old fixture before you unpack and inspect the new unit.
Upon receipt, check for shortages or damage. Report any shortages or damage
immediately.
Store the receptor and wall surrounds in a safe place until you begin installation
to avoid damage.
If remodeling, measure the existing framework before removing the old receptor
to make sure that the new one will fit. Make sure that the drain is in the correct
location.
Confirm adequate mounting and connection space for the water supply and drain
installation.

support additionnel lorsque le plancher est nivelé et d'équerre avec les montants
du cadre. Utiliser des cales pour un support additionnel si le plancher est
irrégulier. Ne pas installer le receveur sur des charpentes exposées de sol brut.
