Operating Instructions
(see Diagrams on page iv)
DIAGRAM 1:
Activate pump; set desired flow rate.
DIAGRAM 2:
Insert pump set drip chamber. Make sure set is
properly seated on pump.
DIAGRAM 3:
Assemble silicone tubing around rotor.
DIAGRAM 4:
Insert pump adapter into bracket.
DIAGRAM 5:
Place tubing into tubing guide.
Silicone Tubing that is not properly secured
around the pump's rotor may result in a free
flow situation. Always ensure that the pump
adapter is correctly seated into the bracket.
This is particularly important when using
water or clear liquids, as proper alarm function
may not occur if the giving set is not secured
properly.
1. Plug the power cord into a 120 VAC., 60 Hz
outlet. The internal backup battery should
normally only be used for short term use
when AC outlet power is unavailable.
2. Press ON - alarm will sound briefly.
Remember, the pump has memory and will
automatically recall the previous parameter
settings. (DIAGRAM 1)
3. Check Flow/Infusion Rate. If change is
desired, press
or
to change rate setting.

4. Check Dose Limit by pressing SET DOSE
LIMIT. If change is desired, press
within the next 3 seconds to change setting
limit. Zero Dose Limit implies no dose limit
monitoring by pump. (DIAGRAM 1)
5. Press RESET to clear Total Volume, if desired.
6. Insert drip chamber into drip chamber
brackets. (DIAGRAM 2)
7. Open roller clamp. Expel air from tubing.
Close clamp.
8. Stretch silicone tubing around rotor. Be sure
not to overstretch the silicone tubing. Insert
pump adapter into bridge. (DIAGRAMS 3+4)
9. Place tubing into tubing guide. (DIAGRAM 5)
10. Attach pump set to patient's feeding tube.
11. Open roller clamp.
12. Press RUN/PAUSE to start pump.
13. OFF will turn off the pump at any time
(Flow/Infusion Rate, Dose Limit, Volume*
Delivered and Accumulated Volume are
retained.)

How to Modify Pump Settings
To change rate or dose limit:
1. Press RUN/PAUSE to stop pump.
2. Select new Flow/Infusion Rate by pressing
or
. Select new Dose Limit by pressing
SET DOSE LIMIT and then press
within next 3 seconds. Press RESET to clear
Volume Delivered, if desired. Press RUN/
or
PAUSE to restart pump.
To view Set Dose Limit:
Press SET DOSE LIMIT. Dose Limit will be
displayed for a few seconds.
