Important Safeguards

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully, and save it for future reference.
2. To protect against risk of electric shock, do not put motor end of appliance in water or
other liquid.
3. The appliance should not be used by children and care should be taken when used near
children.
4. To disconnect, turn unit off, grasp plug, and pull from wall. Never yank on cord.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to an
authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including the
stove.
10. Keep hands and utensils, away from moving blades while processing food to prevent the
possibility of personal injury or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used but must be
used only when the unit is not running.
