Q: The scanner is not picking up certain type of barcode. What can I do?
A: You need to go to Start >> Programs >> PowerPack >> Scan Manager to check and make sure all the
necessary barcodes are enable for scan. Click on setting for additional barcode settings.
Q: I do not want to setup / install my devices after reboot. Can I backup / restore? If so, how?
A:
You certainly can. Please kindly follow the below steps to backup and restore.
To backup your device
6. Insert memory card (SD) into the memory card slot. (You will need to remove the battery first)
7. Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Backup / Restore
8. Choose the storage media and click on Backup
9. Wait as the device perform the backup
10. Once completed, all your settings / applications has now been backup
To restore your device
6. Make sure the memory card which contains the backup folder is inserted into the device
7. Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Backup / Restore
8. Choose the location of the your backup file and click on restore
9. The device will under go a series of warm resets to complete the restore process
10. Once completed, your device has now been restore
Q: My unit will not turn on, what can I do?
Check the sticker that covers the battery connector is removed. Make sure the battery is fully inserted into

the battery compartment. Make sure the charging LED is lid up (top left, red for charging, green for fully
charged). For the initial charge, please charge the unit for at least 12 hours
Q: I wish to define my own function keys, how do I do that?
A:
Go to Start >> Programs >> Power Packs >> Function Key Manager to define your own function keys.
Q: How do I reset my device?
A:
There are two different kinds of resets, warm reset and cold reset. A warm reset is just like a "restart" in
desktop, the device will restart itself and all your personal data, setting will remain unchanged. A cold reset,
however, will WIPE everything on your device, restoring back to factory default (think of it as re-installation of
your OS on PCs).
Q: What's the difference between a warm reset, and a cold reset? When should I use them?
A:
A reset of any kind is usually the last resort of long troubleshooting process. A warm reset is generally
performed first to retain all the personal settings / data. If warm reset fail to solve the issue, a cold reset might
be the last option. A warm reset will simply "restart" the device while leaving all personal data / settings
untouched, a cold reset will WIPE the device clean and a fresh copy OS will be installed . Please advise all
