6.4.- Sending a configuration
A useful option of the Headend Control is
the possibility of transfering a certain confi-
guration in a headend, thereby avoiding
having to save the devices one by one. The
transfer process can be carried out in the
following way:
6.4.1.- Physical installation of the hea-
dend
Connect the necessary devices, headend
controller and power supplies. Power the
headend and, using the universal program-
mer ref.7234, store the address in each
device. Make sure that each device has a
unique address.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The addresses assigned via the Headend
Control software must coincide with the
real addresses that have been program-
med into the headend devices that you
want to control.
· Open the configuration file (main menu,
File-Open)
· Start the session with the headend contro-
lling device
· Send configuration
If the installation has QPSK-PAL, COFDM-
PAL devices, the user should scan each of
these units to read the list of available servi-
ces, select the program and send the confi-
guration to the device.
