Below is a description of the most important
Headend Control comands :
6.1.- Creating a new headend
The CDC system features two options for
the creation of a new headend:
- By drawing the headend using the "Device
Selection " and "Editing Commands" tools.
- By reading the configuration of a physical
headend that has already been installed.
OPTION 1:
Drawing the headend using the "Device
Selection"
and
"Editing
tools.
The idea is to create a headend in the
Headend Management program and then
use the drawing of this headend together
with the configuration report to carry out the
real installation.
By clicking on the "Create new headend"
icon or in the main menu, File-New, a new
headend is opened. Click on the main menu,
File-Headend data in order to edit the hea-
dend data (figure 10). The fields "Name" and
"Address" are basically statistic fields, while
the "Telephone" field is used to remote con-
