Step 4: Locate the retaining collar over the plug and tighten clockwise
Step 5: Connect the two tubes from the tester and carry out suit testing in accordance with the EN464 test
method and the instructions for use provided with the MICROCHEM
Step 6: Once the test is complete, remove the test plug and sealing plug by unscrewing the retaining collar
anti-clockwise.
Step 7: Ensure that the diaphragm that was removed is clean and free from dust, push the diaphragm centre
over the retaining pin in the valve body.
Step 8: Refit the exhalation valve covers by screwing on clockwise until tight and the finger on the cover
passes the locking lug on the body
External connection
The pass-thru suit option includes a 360
inside the suit for connecting to the ancillary airline connection on the SCBA. The maximum working
pressure of the pass-thru is 10 bar.
ATTENTION!
- the pass-thru is only intended to provide breathable air beyond the time limit of the SCBA, for
decontamination purposes, and should never be used in isolation.
- prior to use please check with Microgard or your respiratory equipment manufacturer on the
compatibility of the pass-thru with your SCBA system.
- If you are in anyway unsure on the safe operation of this device then please contact Microgard.
