Remove all packaging, stickers and various accessories on the inside and outside of the appliance.
•
Before using your slow cooker for the first time, wipe the metal housing with a clean, damp cloth.
•
Wash the pot and lid in hot soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly right away. Never let the cast iron pot
and lid air dry as it may cause rusting.
•
Plug in the Electric Dutch Oven. It is now ready for operation.
IMPORTANT: Product housing can become very hot during cooking. Take care not to touch it without heat
protections, and keep children away from the product while in operation.
•
Never immerse the electric base in water.
•
Never leave uncooked food at room temperature in the appliance. Store ingredients in containers in the fridge
beforehand.
•
Removable cast iron pot can be placed in the refrigerator after the contents inside of the pot have cooled down
to room temperature.
•
Do not fill the cast iron pot above the lid level. Filling above the lid level will cause spillage during the cooking
process.
•
Always use oven gloves when removing the hot pot from the appliance.
•
Take care not to block the air vents of the product during use. The product must be used on a flat and hard surface.
•
During the initial use of this appliance, some slight smoke and/or odor may be detected. This is normal and will
stop after a few uses.
•
Never heat the pot when it is empty. Never preheat the base.
•
Do not use the cast iron pot for deep frying while inside of the electrical unit.
•
Take care to avoid possible oil splatter which can occur when adding food to hot oil.
