Press this switch to transmit, and release it to
receive.
Dummy Switch
This switch is not activated in this transceiver.
EAR Jack
You may connect an Earphone to this jack,
for improved listening under noisy conditions.
Earphone operation requires that the MH-
50
's loudspeaker be enabled via program-

ming by your Vertex Standard dealer.
When a plug is installed into this jack, the MH-
50
's internal loudspeaker will be disabled.

Note: The protective rubber cover over the
jack must be pulled up to access the jack. Press
it back over the jack when does not in use, to
protect the inside of the microphone from dust and water.
Speaker
The loudspeaker for the MH-50
Microphone
Speak across this opening in a normal voice level while pressing the PTT switch.
Speaker Volume Button
Press this switch to reduce the output level from the MH-50

's loudspeaker has been enabled (via programming by your Vertex Stan-
