1. DESCRIPTION AND MAIN FEATURES
1.1 General Description
BM-E8
The Room Module BM-E8 is intended to be linked to an E8 or E9 Heating
Controller via a BUS system, allowing access to the display and
programming of system parameters monitored by the heating controller.
The room module is fitted with a room temperature sensor.

Total power consumption: 1W maximum
Operating ambient temperature limits: 0ºC to 50ºC
Shipping ambient temperature limits: -30ºC to 60ºC
Timer battery back-up: > 10 hours
Enclosure IP40 to EN 60 529
Sensor resistance: PTC 1K
2. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
Remove the front panel from the sub-base as shown.
Secure the sub-base onto the wall ('A' holes are for the fixing screws and
'B' holes are for passing the connecting cable).
Make the connection at the terminal strip 'C' using telephone line (4 wires
2 x 0.8mm), as follows:
-Terminal 1: BUS H
-Terminal 2: BUS L
-Terminal 3: BUS -
-Terminal 4: BUS +
An E8 or E9 heating controller can take as many BM-E8 modules (via a
BUS system) as heating circuits being managed.
3. OPERATION
3.1 Operating Mode
During normal operation of the module, the cover will remain closed.

Shifting from one operating mode to another will take place after 5 seconds.
TEMPORARY DISCONNECTION OF THE HEATING CIRCUIT
(ECO)
Energy-saving feature. It allows for the system to be temporarily OFF
when the dwelling is unoccupied for a few hours.
Press the
key. This symbol will be displayed on the screen.
Press the
key to increase the circuit 'disconnection' time by 1 hour.
Press the
key to decrease the circuit 'disconnection' time by 1 hour.
Press the
key for 3 seconds to shift from the heating circuit to the
Night
Set-back mode
until the first operating Comfort
day.
Note: During the 'disconnection' time, the heating circuit will adjust itself to
match the temperature set for the Night Set-back mode
EXTENSION OF THE HEATING PERIOD
It allows for operation of the heating cycle to be extended for a certain
period of time.
Press the
key. This symbol will be displayed on the screen.
Press the
key to increase the circuit 'disconnection' time by 1 hour.
Press the
key to decrease the circuit 'disconnection' time by 1 hour.
Press the
key for 3 seconds to shift from the heating circuit to the
Comfort mode
until the first operating Comfort
day.
