IV. GETTING STARTED
Warning! The tool must NOT be used or switched on until it has been fully assembled.
WARNING: IF ANY PART IS MISSING OR DAMAGED, DO NOT OPERATE THE
MACHINE UNTIL YOU HAVE REPLACED THE MISSING OR DAMAGED PART.
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that tool and accessories are not damaged.
4.2- Assembly
The tool requires some assembly prior to first time use.
Protective guard (Fig.2)
Position the protective guard (3) on the motor housing (7) and fix with the provided screw (a).
4.3- Battery
NOTE: The battery is provided with a low charge state. To ensure proper operation of the tool, fully
recharge the battery before first use.
Tips to ensure optimal battery life
- Do not to drop, hit, or damage the battery.
- Recharge the battery before it is completely drained.
When you notice that the tool performance is decreasing, recharge the battery accordingly.
- Never charge a fully charged battery. Overloading reduces its life.
- If the battery is hot, allow it to cool down before proceeding with charging.
- When the product is not used, it is recommended to charge the battery every 3 months.
To insert and remove the battery
- To insert the battery: insert the battery into the handle housing. Make sure it is properly locked.
- To remove the battery: press the release button then pull the battery to remove it from the handle.

Charging the battery

- Place the charger on a flat, dry surface within one meter of a power outlet.
- Remove the battery from the tool.
- Insert the battery into the charger.
- Connect the charger to a suitable power source. (Only recharge with the supplied charger)
- Charge for 5-7 hours for 20V 2.0Ah battery.
- After charging, remove the battery from the charger and install it back on the tool.
- Unplug the charger from the power source and store it.
Note: keep the charger and the battery at a temperature between +10°C and +40°C.
4.4- Starting the machine
The tool is fitted with a safety switch to avoid unintentional start.
- Switching on: press the switch (2) of the front handle and the switch (4) of the rear handle with
both hands at the same time.
- Switching off: Release any one of the switches (2) or (4).
Warning! The cutting blades continue to move for a few seconds after the hedge trimmer is switched
off. Wait until the cutting blades come to a complete standstill before placing the machine down
Caution! Do not touch the moving blades.
