GENERAL
The Power-Start range of portable power packs are designed to assist with starting 12 V vehicles that have discharged batteries.
To ensure safe and trouble-free operation of your Power-Start you must follow the instructions below.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For your safety
• Do not short circuit or tamper with this unit
• Always observe correct polarity and system voltage when connecting
Failure to do so may lead to a HAZARDOUS situation, damage the pack or the vehicle and may invalidate the warranty. Remove personal items such as rings, bracelets and watches when working with a
vehicle battery. Use Power-Start for boosting standard 12 Volt vehicle batteries only. Switch unit off when not in use.
WARNING
Before initial use, the Power-Start must be put on charge overnight (16Hrs). Failure to do so may reduce the life of the product and invalidate the warranty.
LANGUAGE SELECTION
Changing the language on the scrolling display: Standard the language is "English". Turn on the booster, push the "Power" button, push simultaneously the "Power" and "On/Off" button for 3 seconds,
the display will start scrolling "English". By pushing the "Override" button, will select the next language, whilst pushing the "Power" button will change back to the previous language. By pushing the
"On/Off" button you have selected your new language. Language selections: ENGLISH (English) - DEUTSCH (German) - ESPANOL (Spanish) - NEDERLANDS (Netherlands) - FRANCAIS (Franch) - SVENSKA
(Swedish) - etc....
CHARGING
Checking state of charge
The state of charge is best checked 2 hours after charging. Ensure all cables are disconnected and make sure the clamps don't cause short-circuit. Push the "Power" button to see the approximate
voltage and state of charge of the unit
Charging the Power-Start
WARNING: The Power-Start MUST BE SWITCHED OFF, BEFORE the charger is connected to it. Ensure all output cables are disconnected. Failure to do so may damage the charger and will prevent the unit
from charging. Connect the supplied charger to the "CHARGE SOCKET" on the back of the unit (15 V / 2 A input).

SOC 40%
Plug the charger into the mains (230 ~ 240 V AC 50 Hz). The "LCD display" will illuminate on the unit, it will tell "CHARGING XX.X V". After 2 minutes the LCD backlight shuts off. When the unit is fully
charged, The LCD display will illuminate on the unit and tell "FULLY CHARGED". The PS-775LI is ready for use. You can disconnect the charger (When you do leave the Power-Start on charge, it will keep
the battery powerd up/charged, just to maintain the Power-Start for when it is needed). The charger supplied is designed for this purpose. Only charge using the supplied charger. No other charger
should be used as this may cause damage to the battery. Never put the Power-Start discharged away, at any time. This may cause permanent damage to the battery and will invalidate the warranty.
Charging from a vehicle
The Power-Start may also be charged from a 12 Volt vehicle cigarette lighter socket by using the cigarette lighter lead supplied. This lead is designed to connect to the charge socket on the Power-Start
to the cigarette lighter on the vehicle. When using this lead, the Power-Start will be recharged very quickly and only while the vehicle engine is running. (12 V quick/emergency charge only) The unit
should be normally recharged using the mains charger once every 60 days. Insufficient charging of the pack may result in failure, which will not be covered by the warranty.
STARTING AND CONNECTIONS
Starting 12 V vehicles
Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions for safe jump-starting. Ensure the Power-Start is switched "OFF" (The LCD display is off). Switch off all lights and other loads on the vehicle.
Connect the positive (red) clamp to the vehicle's battery positive pole (+) observing correct polarity. Next connect the negative (black) clamp to the vehicle's negative pole (-) or to a grounded metal part
observing correct polarity. (Note: LCD display on the pack may illuminate. This is normal and does not indicate state of charge or any fault.) If the connection polarity is wrong (Reversed) then a beep will
sound, Also text will appear on the LCD display telling "WARNING CLAMPS REVERSED". Disconnect the clamps and reconnect correctly. Always check the connection polarity is correct even if the beep
does not sound.
Switch on the Power-Start by pushing the "Power" button. If the environment temperature is below 0°C, the LCD display will illuminate and tell: "Example: -18°C". Turn on consumers to heat up the
internal battery. (Headlamp, front/back window heater, blower or any other loads) When the environment temperature is above 0°C. The LCD display will illuminate telling "JUMP START READY". Then
make sure the cables are free of turning parts and start the engine normally. If the engine does not start within 8 seconds, stop and wait 3 minutes before making a further attempt.
After the engine has started, allow it to run for a few minutes to recharge the vehicle's on-board battery. Switch off the engine and then switch off the Power Start. First remove the negative clamp and
then the positive clamp. Store the clamps in the clamps compartment of the Power-Start. Restart the engine from the vehicle's on-board battery.
NOTE: It is not recommended that the Power-Start is used to start vehicles without a battery fitted or with a battery that has been "dried-out" and has no electrolyte. Damage may occur to the Power-
Start or to the vehicle if the Power-Start is disconnected or switched off while the engine is running.
VEHICLE BATTERY VOLTAGE IS TOO HIGH (15 V) OR TOO LOW (2 V)
If the clamps are connected correctly and the vehicle's battery is above 15 V, the LCD display will illuminate and tell "WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE DISCONNECT CLAMPS" whilst beeping! If the clamps are
connected correctly and the vehicle's battery is under 2 V, the booster won't detect a battery. It needs to be forced "On" in the (all protections are off) "OVERRIDE" mode. Make sure the positive (red)
clamp is connected to the vehicle's battery positive pole (+) observing correct polarity. Next connect the negative (black) clamp to the vehicle's negative pole (-) or to a grounded metal part observing
correct polarity !!!(Warning, you are going to use the "OVERRIDE" mode, all safety functions are off)!!! Press the "OVERRIDE" button for 3 seconds. The LCD display will illuminate and tell "JUMP START
READY" (Continue with the above steps: Starting 12V vehicles).
USING AS AN AUXILLIARY POWER SOURCE: (12 V, MAX 8 A)
• The Power-Start can be used to maintain the vehicle's computer memory functions when the on-board battery is disconnected. The "optional" lead with two cigarette lighter plugs* is used for this
purpose but can only be used with 12 Volt vehicle systems. A 2nd optional lead is a cigarette lighter plug on one side and the other side a OBDII connector**, this lead can be used for the same
purpose.
• The Power-Start can also be used as an auxilliary power source for a 12 V fridge, laptop, air compressor or any other device with a maximum of 120 Watt! Turn on the PS-775LI. If battery capacity is
below 20%, please recharge the unit. (Continue with the above steps: Charging the Power-Start) If battery capacity is above 40%, connect the 12 V device to the PS-775LI, If the device is using over 120
Watt the LCD display will illuminate and tell "WARNING OVER LOADING DISCONNECT NOW", disconnect the 12 V device. If the device is under the 120 Watt, you can use it, untill the internal battery
runs below 10.5 V. The Power-Start will shut off and stop the output. Disconnect the 12 V device. Then continue with the above steps: Charging the Power-Start.
