Connection via router
Bosch Power Tec GmbH
Lay the CAN cable separately (routing signal lines and power-carrying
lines cables together can result in signal interference.)
CAN cables must not have additional earthing. (The shield of the CAN
cable is earthed capacitively in the central inverter. This prevents
equalising currents from damaging connected cables and
components.)
5. Label the cables
6. Secure the cables on cable support rails

The CAN cables are connected.

Optional: Connecting the Ethernet
Materials required
Ethernet cable
– Cat 5 network cable or better (If you are not using a router or switch:
Crossover cable.)
– Maximum length: 100 m
The hardware and software components and operating systems used
during the process vary depending on installation site and application. For
background information, see the documentation of the IT devices used.
Further information can also be found on the websites of network device
manufacturers.
Settings can be made from a central point and applied across the system
via the Ethernet connection of each individual central inverter display (e.g.
via the monitoring display).
Prerequisites
Known IP address of the central inverter (see Information submenu in the
display)
Suitable network address set on the PC to be connected (see operating
system documentation)
Example (standard setting):
IP address of the central inverter: 192.168.0.111
Set the IP address on the PC: 192.168.0.100
Set the subnet mask on the PC: 255.255.255.0
DHCP service activated in the router (If a DHCP service is not available via
the router: The IP address of the device is configured to 192.168.0.111 by
default. The IP address can also be changed if required: See help pages in
the display)
PC connected with router
Router switched on
In network connections, PC set to automatically obtain IP addresses.
Automatic assignment of IP address enabled in the display
If the router supports this function: The manufacturer recommends
permanently assigning the IP address and MAC address of the central
inverter to each other in the router. (Benefit: This prevents the central
inverter from being assigned a new IP address whenever the PC is
restarted. The device can then always be accessed in the network under
the same IP address.)
