6 MAINTENANCE

Maintenance precautions

Before inspecting and carrying out maintenance on the control unit:
- Completely drain all fluid and rinse with clean water.
- Stop the pump and discharge the circuit's pressure (main valve OFF).

- Disconnect the power cables (remove the plugs).
Access the level indicator after stopping and parking the tractor on which the system is installed,
following the safety precautions in the tractor's manual.
Carry out operations in safe areas away from children.
Having disconnected the power cable and removed the probe from the machine, wash the metal part with
clean water avoiding contact with the residues of liquid from the tank.
Wash well with water after every operation.
Do not inhale the vapors created by the fluid in the circuit and the tank.
Do not place any part of the level indicator in your mouth or swallow (they are not edible).
Do not dispose of circuit fluids in the environment. Always protect the soil and drainage systems
by disposing of residues according to current local regulations.
Do not, in any way, modify the connections or structure of the level indicator.
Always contact Geoline Customer Service regarding any changes.

Routine maintenance

Do not direct water jets towards the probe head.
Follow the instructions given in "General warnings".

Cleaning the probe (monthly)

- Remove the probe from the tank by disconnecting the power
cable, sliding fork F1 out and removing the complete probe
(pulling upwards).
- Wash the outside of the probe with clean water.
- Direct a jet of water into the upper breather pipe S1, pointing
downwards, in order to expel any built up materials from the lower
probe opening. Repeat the operation if necessary, directing the
water jet into the lower probe opening.
- When clean, remount the probe, taking
care to lubricate the seal G1 using
silicon grease.
The cleaning operation should be carried
out each time the type of product used
in the tank is changed.
Protect eyes and other parts of the body with suitable clothing.
Contact with chemical product residues can be harmful to health.
