3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Introduction

The Geoline level indicator is used to verify the quantity of liquid contained in the tank on which it is installed
(using a LED or liquid crystal display).
The indicator is composed of a probe, a display and calibration software (pre-installed on the probe).
The following materials are used:
Body
Gaskets
Parts in contact with fluids
The level indicator works by calculating the variations taking place in a capacitive circuit, when there is a
capacity variation in the condenser (made of two concentrically facing plates immersed in the liquid being
measured).
Depending on the version, the data is shown:
- On a radial LED display (code 8406019); version integrated in the control box.
- On a linear LED display (code 8406018)
- On a digital display (code 8406020).
LED version:
- The first LED comes on when the display is switched on.
- When only this LED in lit on the display, it means that it is in reserve.
Digital version:
- this shows the reserve level by a flashing "RES" on the display.
On the LED display, the reading resolution depends on the number of LEDs compared to the tank volume.
The 10 LEDs can be used with:
- ON-OFF function (which can be used to highlight 10 different liquid values).
- ON-FLASHING-OFF function, which in practice doubles the number, as each LED has two active statuses
(which makes it possible to highlight 20 different liquid values).
Bearing in mind that the initial LED indicates the reserve, the maximum resolution of the LED device is:
With V = tank volume, r = reserve volume; N = number of active LEDs (all except the first one).
R = (V-r) / 2(N-1) litres:
R = (V-r) / 4(N-1) litres:
R = 1 litre
The accuracy of the displayed measurement on the digital device depends on the height in which the liquid
is compared to the shape of the tank. This can be found using the following formula:
A (average) = +/- 2.5 [(V-r) / 400] litres.
Identification plate
On the probe head there is an identification plate showing the article
code and the length (in mm) of the immersed part.
Please refer to this data and the type of tank on which the probe is
installed when contacting the customer service department.
