4.2 Electrical connection
• A differential switch (l fn = 30 ma) should be installed previous to power point to protect
the installation from short circuits.
• A switch interrupting the whole circuit at once should be installed before power point,
with at least 3mm opening between the devices.
• The pump is connected to power through a cable and a plug which should be of easy
access to allow rapid unplug in case of emergency.
• Electric wiring must conform to the CEE norm (2) or H07 RN-F norm as per VDE 0250.
• Make sure the electrical system is grounded in accordance with the local laws in force.
• Single phase motors include a built-in thermal protection which switches off the
pump in case of overload. Once the motor has cooled down, the pump switches on
automatically.

5.1 Checking before start-up
• Use the pump for the applications listed on the nameplate.
• Please check that voltage and frequency correspond to those indicated on the pump
label.
• Do not start the pump without water to avoid damages.
• The body of the hose and pump suction fluid must be filled before use (priming), otherwise
the pump may be damaged.
• This pump should never dry operate.
• Make sure the pump shaft spins freely.
• Check there is no leak at joints or connections of the installation.
