2. Swallowing a battery may be fatal.
3. Do not charge the battery.
4. Do not dispose of the battery in fire as it may explode.
5. Do not store the unit in direct sunlight or at high temperature.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit except to replace the battery.
7. Use CR2032 batteries only.
8. Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
9. Do not mix different battery types.
10. Do not mix new and used batteries together.
11. Consumed batteries should be removed from the device and disposed of in accordance with
the makers recommendation.
12. Remove the batteries for long periods of non-use.
13. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
14. Remove battery compartment lid using tweezers or similar object.
15. Toy is to be operated in water only when fully assembled in accordance with the instructions

5.3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The main function of this penguin is to measure the bath water temperature. It floats and is
waterproof.
1. The thermometer is switched on by tapping the base of the penguin against the palm of your
hand.
2. If the water temperature is less than 33ºC, the penguin displays "COLD".
3. If the water temperature is between 33ºC – 38ºC it displays only the temperature, because the
water is at the ideal temperature.
4. And if the water temperature is higher than 38ºC the penguin will alert you by flashing and
displaying "HOT".
5. To maintain the life of the battery, this unit features an automatic shut-off function that activates
approximately within 60 minutes of operation.
6. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when using this for bathing.
5.4. MAINTENANCE
5.4.1. HOW TO CLEAN
The thermometer can be cleaned using a soft damp cloth.
NOTE! Never clean the bath thermometer by wiping it with alcohol.
5.4.2. HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY
When the display is dim this indicates that the battery needs changing.
1. Open the battery cover by using tweezers or similar object.
2. Replace the CR2032 battery. Please make sure the (+) side is facing
