Print ed picture
Problems
Picture is not sharp.
Picture is too dark.
Printed date/time is wrong.
The date is not printed on the
front./The date is not printed
clearly.
Possible Causes
Was your finger on the AF win-
dows when shooting?
Did you aim the subject properly?
Was the lens dirty?
Was your camera moving?
Did you select J mode when
shoot ing at a close dis tance?
Was subject too far from the cam-
era for the flash to work?
Was your finger over the flash?
Was the subject backlit from being
tak en next to a window, etc?
d Did you set correct date and time
af ter replacing the battery?
Did you select the "[" mode
be fore tak ing pictures?
Was there something light-colored
(white, yellow, orange) where the
date appears?
Solutions
When taking pictures, hold your camera correctly
so that your finger is not on the AF windows.
Compose the picture in the AF frame and shoot,
or take pictures using AF lock.
Clean the lens.
Hold the camera firmly and press the shutter but-
ton gently. Use a tripod for slow shutter speeds.
Select a mode other than J mode.
Take pictures within the effective flash range.
Do not cover the flash with your finger.
Select the f mode.
d Set date and time after replacing the battery.
Select a date mode other than the "["
mode before taking pic tures.
Try to arrange that there is no light colored back-
ground where the date appears.
