Start-up
Clean and fully dry the bean container lid (1), bean container (2), collection
container lid (6) and collection container (7) before initial use.
For starting-up place the bean container (2) in the device. Look for marks on
bean container (2) and adjusting of grinding degree, marks must stand about one
another, otherwise the bean container (2) cannot be put on (see fig. A). Set the
desired grinding degree (see chapter „Grinding degree"), fill the bean container (2)
and close with the bean container lid (1). Finally, insert the collection container
(7) and connect the mains plug to a socket.
Attention! This coffee grinder is designed for grinding coffee and espresso beans
only. The use of other ground material such as poppy seeds, nuts, sugar etc.
constitutes improper use and will void your warranty.
Set the desired portion size using the portion selection switch (5).
Note: The cup amounts given on the portion selection switch (5) are for orien-
tation purposes only. Different coffee types, cup sizes, water hardness levels and
personal tastes may call for different settings.
Try out which setting is to your own personal taste.
The grinding processor begins when you press the on/off button (4). The motor
only runs when the bean container (2) is properly fitted.
Once the selected amount of coffee has been ground the grinder will automati-
cally stop.
The grinding process can be stopped at any time by re-pressing the on/off button
(4).
Important note:
If the grinder is not working, the motor may be blocked by a stuck bean. If this
happens, set a higher grinding degree (see chapter Grinding degree). As soon
as the motor has started it can be immediately set back to the desired grinding
degree.
Wait until the motor has stopped to remove the collection container (7). Remove
the collection container (7) by pulling it gently back. The coffee powder can be
placed directly in the coffee machine filter.
To avoid loss of flavour, you should only grind beans as and when you need them.
Excess coffee grounds can be stored in an airtight container.
