Safety information

These operating instructions contain
important information that must be heeded
to enable the extractor hood to be operated
without danger or malfunctions. Please
keep the operating and assembly
instructions in a safe place for future
reference.
Intended use
The extractor hood may only be used for
the extraction of kitchen vapours above the
cooking appliances in private households.
Any other use will be deemed to be
improper. Danger to persons and objects
may result from improper use of the hood.
The extractor hood may not be used as a
shelf for depositing objects such as e.g.
bottles or herbs or other loose items. This
appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with restricted
physical, sensorial or mental capabilities
or with a lack of experience or knowledge,
unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for safety or have received
instructions from that person as regards
the use of the appliance. Children must be
supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
Installation
The device may only be installed and
connected by an authorised technician
observing all relevant regulations of the
power supplying companies and Building
Regulations of the Federal States. During
assembly, please observe the assembly
instructions! Damaged appliances may not
be put into operation. Defective parts must
be replaced by original ones. Repairs
should only be carried out by authorised
technical staff.
Danger of intoxication!
If the extractor hood is operated in extraction
mode in one room together with other room
air dependent firing installations (e.g. wood,
gas, oil or coal-fired appliances), lethal
combustion gases may be redirected into
the room due to an occurring negative
pressure.
The operator must therefore
provide a sufficient air supply at all times.
The negative pressure in the room must
not exceed 4 Pa (0.04mbar).
Fire hazard!
The extractor hood may never be operated
without the grease filter and must always
be used under supervision. Filters that are
overfilled with grease can represent a fire
hazard! Keep the extractor hood under
constant supervision when deep-frying!
Please make sure that the grease filter is
cleaned regularly. Flambéing under the
extractor hood is not allowed!
appliances may only be used under the
extractor hood with saucepans being on
them! If you use more than 3 gas-fired hot
plates at once, please operate the extractor
hood at level 2 or higher. This avoids an
accumulation of heat in the appliance.
Danger of electric shock!
Do not clean the hood with a steam jet or
water pressure cleaner. The hood must be
disconnected from the power supply prior
to cleaning. CAUTION: When using cooking
equipment, accessible parts may become
hot. This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
restricted physical, sensorial or mental
capabilities or with a lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for safety or have
received instructions from that person as
regards the use of the appliance. Children
must be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
Subject to technical changes!
General method of operation:
The extractor hood has been especially
developed for the extraction of cooking
vapours in private households. Rising
cooking vapours are captured by the
extractor hood by means of full-surface
extraction, caused by the use of highly
efficient metal filters (additionally with active
carbon filter for recirculating air models).
