V. USE

1. ASSEMBLY

1)
Detach the filter attachment from half mask repirator body SR 900. Fig. 3.
2)
Remove the inhalation valve flap from the filter attachment. Fig. 4. Save the valve flap for future

use.

INSTALLING THE PROTECTIVE ELEMENT INTO THE FILTER ATTACHMENT
1)
Insert one part of the large lip of the protective element into the filter attachment flange.
The arrows on the label point to – "this side toward face". Fig. 5.
2)
Use your finger to pull the lip of the attachment flange around the element until the entire cartridge or
P100 filter lip is seated inside the filter attachment. Fig. 6.
3)
Squeeze the top edge of the element and the bottom edge of the respirator filter attachment together
until the filter attachment flange touches against the edge of the cartridge. Fig. 7.
4)
Check that the entire lip of the respirator filter attachment is touching the protective elements.
Tug on the protective element to verify that it is properly seated.

Fit the pre-filter in the pre-filter holder and press it into place on the filter. Fig. 8, 9.
To provide proper protection the appropriate protective elements must be
properly seated in the filter attachment before entering a hazardous atmosphere.
When using both particulate filter and chemical cartridge, the particulate filter shall always be snapped
onto the chemical cartridge and the chemical cartridge shall always be inserted in the filter attach-
ment. Press the filters together with your fingers placed around the outer edges of the filters until you
hear a click. Fig. 10.
SEPARATE THE STACKED CARTRIDGE AND P100 FILTER
1)
Place a coin in the space between the lower lip of the P100 filter and the small tab molded into the
side of the cartridge.
2)
Push firmly and twist the coin until the filter pops off. Fig. 11.
