The "+" indicator is marked with one white dot and "6 months"
inside.
The "++" indicator is marked with two white dots and "3 months"
inside.
D Signals
Every time you turn the BRITA water dispenser's lever, the BRITA
electronic cartridge exchange indicator's LED will start blinking
blue. The BRITA electronic cartridge exchange indicator measures
time and volume (when the system is fully installed).
– T he "++" setting indicator measures up to three months and
500 L of water.
– T he "+"setting indicator measures up to six months and 1000 L
of water.
– I f the maximum time or volume is reached, the LED of the
BRITA electronic cartridge exchange indicator will start blink-
ing red (while the BRITA water dispenser's lever is opened)
( c hapter 5).
– Then the filter cartridge should be changed (chapter 4).

• Change the battery after 3 years

Step 3: Installing the BRITA water dispenser
To install the BRITA water dispenser, first make sure all the tools
you need are in front of you (see fig. 5).

To start, find a suitable place to set up your BRITA water dispenser
near your sink. We recommend installing it next to the sink on the
work surface (next to the main tap). Please make sure that there is
enough room for the P 1000 filter cartridge, the two hoses under
the sink or the drill hole.
