1.0 General- Symbols - Delivery
Use these instructions to familiarise yourself with the device before you use it for
the first time. It is imperative that you observe the safety guidelines on the proper
and safe use of this device.
For safety reasons, children and young people under 16 years of age, as well as
people who cannot recognize potential hazards or who are not familiar with these
instructions, must not use this device!
Please keep these instructions in a safe place! In the event of a change of ownership,
please pass these instructions on to the new owner along with the product.
1.1 Symbols
The symbols used on the device and in these instructions have the following
meanings:

Dust-proof, protected against submersion.
The pump can be submerged up to a depth of 4 m!

1.2 Delivery
OASE pumps of the type series USP 402W to USP 816D are delivered in a special
factory-fitted packaging, in which they should, if possible, remain until they are
installed. Check that the consignment is complete and intact. Get the carrier to
confirm any faults discovered on the original consignment note and inform us about
these immediately!
The pump should not be exposed to any shocks and can be transported by
hanging it from its carrying loop ( Diag.1)! Manual handling should preferably be
carried out by 2 persons (note weight indication on box label)
2.0 General safety guidelines
These operating instructions contain basic safety guidelines which have to be followed during
installation, start-up and maintenance!
Dangers if safety guidelines are not followed:
Failure to follow the safety guidelines may result in danger to persons, the system and
even the environment! Failure to follow the safety guidelines may result in the loss of
any right to compensation!
