BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME
1.
Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safety devices.
2.
Clean all parts with a damp
cloth, as described in the chapter
"Cleaning and care".
3.
Check to make sure that the appli-
ance is stable.
4.
Connect the base via the power
cord to the power supply (230 V~,
50 Hz).
5.
Remove the kettle from the base.
6.
Open the lid.
7.
Add clear, cold water to the "Max"
marking.
OPERATION
1.
Remove the kettle from the base.
2.
Open the lid.
3.
Fill the kettle with at least 0.5
liters of water. Do not fill the
kettle with more than 1.0 liters of
water ("Max" marking).
4.
Close the lid by pressing lightly.
5.
Place the kettle level on the base.
6.
Switch on the kettle by pressing
the ON/OFF switch downwards
into the „I"-position. The kettle
cannot be switched on if it is not
properly seated on the base.
7.
When the water boils, the appli-
ance automatically shuts off.
8.
If the kettle is lifted up before the
water boils, it has to be switched
off by pressing the I/O switch. If
the appliance is not switched off
and then placed back on the base,
the boiling will be continued.

12. For hygienic reasons, please dis-
card the water from the first boi-
ling.

If you want to boil more water,
please allow the appliance to cool
off for a few minutes.
10. The appliance features boil dry
protection. When operated wit-
hout water or with excessive sca-
ling, the appliance shuts off auto-
matically. If this happens, please
allow the appliance to cool off
briefly before filling it with water
again or descale the appliance as
described in the chapter "Desca-
ling".
