MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws,
nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product
until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorized service center for assistance.
Cleaning
WARNING
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage
•
from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Wipe the surface with a dry cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

WARNING
Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
Storage
Clean all foreign material from the air inlets of the blower.

Store indoors in a place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive agents,
•
such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
Service
WARNING
cause serious hazard. We recommend that all tool service be performed by a SKIL Factory
Service Center or Authorized SKIL Service Station.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Blower doesn't
work.
The air velocity
decreases
obviously.
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts . Use of any
other parts could create a hazard or cause product damage.
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack
from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance .
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, penetrating oils, etc ., come in contact with plastic parts .
Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel may
result in misplacing of internal wires and components which could
Cause
1. The battery pack is not
attached to the blower.
2. No electrical contact
between the blower and
the battery.
3. The battery pack is
depleted.
4. The battery pack or the
blower is too hot.
1. Excessive wearing of
motor fan.
2. The air inlet is blocked by
debris.
Remedy
1. Attach the battery pack to the blower.
2. Remove the battery, check contacts
and reinstall the battery pack.
3. Charge the battery pack.
4. Turn off the blower and remove the
battery pack from the blower. Allow the
battery or the blower to cool down.
1. Have the tool serviced by an
Authorized SKIL Service Center or
Service Station.
2. Remove the battery pack, clear the
debris.
