CAUTION
1. Always use cold water when fi lling the kettle.
2. The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. levels! Hot water may spurt out if the kettle is
overfi lled.
3. Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
4. Always make sure the lid is well closed.
5. The base and kettle body should not be wet.
6. Only use the kettle in combination with its original base.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Boil clean water twice before using the appliance for the fi rst time.
1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfi ll, watch the water level indicator.
2. Place the kettle on its base.
3. After plugging it in the electrical outlet, turn the switch to ON position. The On indicator signals heating of
water.
4. When the water boils, the kettle automatically shuts down and the heating indicator switches off . The kettle

can also be switched off manually at any time using the power switch.
Note: Once it shuts down, do not attempt to switch it forcibly back on, you could damage the mechanism
of the switch.
5. Unplug the cord from the outlet.
6. Do not open the lid when pouring the water out.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Always unplug the plug of the power supply from the outlet prior to cleaning the kettle!
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and then wipe dry. Do not use sharp or abrasive
agents, which could damage the surface, to clean the device.
• Remove the scale fi lter and rinse with clean water.
• Remove scale build up on a regular basis. To do so, use available materials designated for descaling kitchen
appliances.
