N.B.: All the metal fasteners and material needed for installation of the TIX device
on the tyre changer are supplied, subdivided in bags.
1 - Disconnect the tyre changer from all its power sources.
2- Open the tyre changer's left-hand side panel.
3- If the rear of the tyre changer has 4 caged nuts (see Fig. B/1), move on to the
next point; otherwise, remove the 4 plastic caps then proceed as described:
a- if working on a manual, fixed-post tyre changer, fit the 4 caged nuts supplied
in the kit;
b- if working on an automatic, swinging-post tyre changer, fit just 3 nuts (1-
2-3, Fig. B/1):
c- if working on an automatic tyre changer with lateral arm movement, the post
cylinder has to be removed, proceeding as follows:
- remove the back cover of the automatic post.
- remove the pin (1, Fig. B/2) which secures the rod of the post cylinder.
- unscrew the 4 nuts (2, Fig. B/2) which secure the cylinder.
WARNING: hold the cylinder with one hand so that it cannot fall.
- fit the 4 caged nuts.
- reassemble the cylinder.
- close the back cover.
4- Fix the tank to the body of the machine using the 4 M 8x16 hexagonal head
screws supplied in the kit (see Fig. B/3).
5- Connect the control handle hose to the ribbed hose connector union underneath
the tank, and secure it correctly with the locking pin (see Fig. B/4).
6- Using a pipe cutter, cut the air supply line of the pedal inflation device,
leading from the regulator/lubricator unit (1, Fig. B/5) about halfway along
its length.
7- Fit the T union (2, Fig. B/5) supplied in the kit onto the hose.
8- Connect the rilsan hose (3, Fig. B/5) supplied in the kit to the unused outlet
of the T union.
9- Remove the plastic cap (1, Fig. B/3) from the rear of the machine body, then
lead the hose just fitted out of the hole opened.
10- Connect the hose to the T union on the air jet valve (see Fig. B/6).
