Electric Connection
1. Ensure that your mains power corresponds
with the specifications of the appliance. The
specifications are printed on the type label.
2. Connect the mains cable to a properly installed
and earthed 220-240 V~, 50 Hz wall outlet.
Operation
Before making coffee for the first time operate the
appliance twice with clean water only and without
paper filter. This removes dust, which may have
collected during transport. Follow the instructions
given under "Switching on the coffee machine
directly".
Operation
Set the time
Set hours:
Simultaneously press the
SET and HOUR buttons.
Set minutes:
Simultaneously press the
SET and MIN buttons.
NOTE:
• The values increase fast forward. Press and
hold the SET button and press the HOUR or
MIN button once per value to reset an indi-
vidual value.
• You exit the setting mode upon releasing the
SET button.
Preparing the Coffee Machine
1. Open the lid of the water tank.
2. Fill cold water according to the desired amount
of cups of coffee into the rear water tank. The
water level is displayed on the indicator.
NOTE:
You can use the pot to fill the water tank.
CAUTION:
Do not overfill the tank! Do not fill it above the
14 mark.
3. Ensure that the filter holder is properly at-
tached.
4. Turn over the lower fold of the paper filter
(size 1x4) and place it in the filter funnel. Then
fill it with coffee powder.
5. Now close the lid of the water tank.
6. Place the jug onto the warming plate.
CAUTION: DRIP STOP
Your appliance comes with a drip stop. It
closes when removing the coffee pot. This
prevents the coffee from dripping onto the
warming plate if there is still water in the filter.
• Ensure that the lid is attached to the coffee
pot. It opens the drip stop.
• If there is still water in the tank, place the
pot under-neath as soon as possible.
Otherwise the filter might overflow.
Switching on the coffee machine directly:
Please follow the instructions under points "Pre-
paring the Coffee Machine".
7. Press the ON-OFF button once. The ON-OFF
button lights up red. The appliance is opera-
tional.
NOTE:
• The unit switches itself off automatically
about 2.5 hours after the brewing. The
ON-OFF button indicator lamp turns off.
• Press the ON-OFF button once to switch
off the appliance earlier. The ON-OFF but-
ton indicator lamp turns off.
Automatic operation:
Please follow the instructions under points "Pre-
paring the Coffee Machine".
7. Press and hold the TIMER button. Wait until
the ON-OFF button flashes blue. You are now
in programming mode. Keep the TIMER button
pressed in whilst you are setting the start time,
as described below.
