• Fill the water jug with
around 0.7 l of water and
then top up to the 1.0 mark
on the water level indica-
tor with clear table vinegar.
Alternatively, fill the water
jug with around 0.9 l of
water and then top up to the
1.0 mark on the water level
indicator with clear vinegar
essence.
• Close the lid.
• Place the water jug on
the base and press the
"100 °C" temperature
button.
• Wait until the kettle
switches off automatically.
• Use the handle to lift the
water jug off the base and
then pour out the water/vin-
egar mixture.
• Repeat this process
3 times with only fresh
water.
Note:
You may also use commer­
cial de­scaling solutions to
de­scale the water jug. In
this case, follow the manu­
facturer's instructions on the
packaging.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
The current consumed
to heat a litre of water
(initial temperature 20 °C)
to boiling point is around
0.107 kWh. Energy con-
sumption can be opti-
mised by only heating the
amount of water actually
required and only heating
to the actual temperature
required.
Lime-scale build-up may
affect the performance of
your appliance. To prevent
excessive lime-scale, the
remaining water must be
poured away after heating.
STORAGE
Keep the kettle out of the
reach of children.
Always store the cable
in the cord storage com-
partment provided on the
underside of the base.
DISPOSAL
At the end of its
service life this
product may not be
disposed of as part
of normal domestic waste.
It must be taken to a
dedicated collection point
for recycling electrical and
electronic devices. This is
indicated by the symbol on
the product, the operating
instructions or the
packaging.
