9. Normal Operation

9.1. Attach air regulator to the carrying strap
■ Push the air regulator [9-2] on to the left or right adapter plate [9-4] of the
fitted belt until the safety nose [9-1] engages in the release lever [9-3].
■ Tilt the air regulator out of the basic position [10-1] forwards [10-2] or
backwards [10-3] as required. Tilt settings every 22.5° and 45°.
9.2. Making the air regulator ready to use
Notice!
Only use heat-resistant, antistatic, undamaged, technically perfect SATA
safety compressed air hoses with permanent pressure resistance of
at least 10 bar, e.g. No. 49080 (6 m), 176792 (10 m), 180851 (40 m).
These hoses may not be combined or lengthened.
■ Connect the compressed air hose with the compressed air supply con-
nection [2-7].
■ Take the breathing air hose from the breathing protection hood [1-2]
through the belt loop and insert at the breathing protection hood connec-
tion [2-9] .
■ If necessary, insert the compressed air hose at the spray gun connection
[2-5].
■ Use the air flow regulator [2-2] to check the alarm whistle of the breathing
protection hood. To do this, turn the regulator all the way closed and then
slowly turn to open it again when the spray gun is pressed (if fitted).
When using the SATA air warmer carbon
■ Use the control wheel [8-2] to adjust the required air temperature.
The breathing protection equipment is operationally ready.

10. Maintenance and Care

The air regulator needs no maintenance. Spare parts are available for car-
rying out repairs (see chapter 13).

11. Malfunctions

In the event of unexpected malfunctions, send the product to the SATA
customer service department. (see chapter 12).

12. After Sales Service

For accessories, spare parts and technical support, contact your SATA
dealer.
